Grants

The Fund supports its members by making grants at times of financial need.

Sometimes this is to support an emergency - we’ve supported members with the cost of emergency accommodation following domestic abuse, for example.

Often it’s to provide financial support to help with the recovery from an injury or illness. Although the Fund will not contribute towards the costs of medical treatment or procedures, we have supported members with the cost of specialist equipment for recuperative therapy.

The Fund has also helped members with necessary quality-of-life assistance that was otherwise cost-prohibitive. We have helped retired officers fund mobility equipment and other life-enhancing improvements, and helped provide specialist play equipment to support a members child with sensory development issues.

Flint House Grants

The Fund will support retired and serving officers who attend the Flint House Police Rehabilitation centre with a £100 per week grant to help with expenses.

The Flint House Police Rehabilitation centre delivers world class preventative and rehabilitative care for people in the police service.
