Our Charity Status

The Committee of the Gloucestershire Constabulary Benevolent Fund is pleased to announce that at a public Extraordinary General Meeting held on 28th June, the proposal to seek registered charity status for the Fund was approved by Fund members.

Following this vote of approval, the Committee has continued its work to to achieved charity status. At the Annual General Meeting of the Fund on 12th October a new Charity Commission governed constitution was adopted and the Fund is now officially a registered charity. As the Fund committee members change status to become Trustees of this new charity, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members who have contributed to the Fund over the years, and look forward to a future providing even more support to our serving and retired officers
